The Role
We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Ideally, you will have managed or been a part of a team of strategists or data analysts in a marketing or advertising setting, and have experience in infusing analytics into the broader organization. You will conduct full life cycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Develop and implement machine learning models
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Advocates for datalab and data and research best practices both with clients and across the agency
- Builds relationships with key clients to help facilitate delivery, comprehension and satisfaction with our research work
- Educates clients regularly through both in-person education and written points-of- view
- Collaborates with the planning directors and digital strategy teams to define a creative brief, media/communications brief and measures for success for advertising efforts
- Prepares and delivers presentations or workshops to help educate and inspire clients and internal teams to effect more strategic, cutting-edge creative work
Skills:
- BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

Relevant experience:
- Proven working experience as a data analyst
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, programming, platforms and statistical packages, including: SQL, Python, JavaScript, Tableau, Stata, Data Analyst, R, SPSS, SAS
- Deep knowledge of:
- Web behaviour research tools:
Nielsen @plan, Nielsen AdRelevance, comScore’s MediaMatrix or Quantcast Planner. - Self-service social media and digital advertising systems:
Google AdWords, Facebook Advertising, Twitter Advertising - Social media analytics products:
NetBase, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, Radian6 or Sysomos
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
